PH 5 Pendant
Poul Henningsen, Louis Poulsen
Poul Henningsen designed the PH 5 in 1958 as the culmination of three decades of research into glare-free light. Its three layered shades, purple struts, and red and blue anti-glare rings shape the light so the bulb is never visible from any seated angle. It is the most considered pendant in the Danish canon.

Why Estate & Design selected it
Over a dining table, there is no more flattering light than a PH 5. Henningsen was a scientist of illumination before he was a stylist, and the pendant's famous form is entirely in service of its function: warm, even, glare-free light that makes a room, and the people in it, look their best. An estate dining room without one is a missed opportunity.
